On October 28-29, 2017, the 1st International Symposium on Coastal Resources and Environment (CORE2017) was successfully held at Hohai University, Nanjing, China. The central topic of this symposium was Coastal Wetlands in a Changing Climate. The symposium was jointly organized by the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Coast Ocean Resources Development and Environment Security, and the Key Laboratory of Coastal Disaster and Defence, Ministry of Education.
The symposium hosted worldwide scholars and researchers, e.g. Delft University of Technology, Deltares, University of South Carolina, Cardiff University, University of Padova, East China Normal University (State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research), Sun Yat-Sen University, Beijing Normal University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, etc. Nearly 40 experts from the above universities and research institutions attended this meeting to exchange the relevant research frontiers of coastal wetlands in the changing environment.
